Jazz is alive and well in the Allegheny Mountain Region and surrounding TOURNAMENT circuit. Bands in the Allegheny Mountain Region are encouraged to become active within TOURNAMENT to receive excellent commentary towards the growth of their students and programs and participate in workshops offered within the organization. TIA-11 Jazz Bands who have completed entrance requirements of a regional membership and performance bond and have participated in one regular season contest are eligible to participate in the TIA Atlantic Coast Championship Jazz Band Contest in Wildwood, New Jersey and All-Star Jazz Band which is an elite group of hand selected students from the participating championship jazz idiom that receive the honor of working with and performing under the direction of accomplished directors and musicians during the championship weekend!
